🚺 S. saprophyticus disease
- •Uncomplicated UTI in young sexually active women (2nd to E. coli) — "honeymoon cystitis".
- •Can also cause acute bacterial prostatitis.
- •Treatment: nitrofurantoin or TMP-SMX (first-line for uncomplicated UTI).
